Turtle had been trying to log into his Myspace for hours. A paper towel with an Uncrustable on it was balanced in his lap. He was starting to get frustrated: he had gotten an email that he had a Myspace message from a girl named Sinead, and he urgently needed to check it. Sinead was the name of the girl to whom he’d lost his virginity, at an after-prom party at Webster Hall. She had stopped returning his calls. He was desperate to see what she looked like, what she had to say to him.

His mouse hovered in the “password” box. “Arnold,” he typed, then “enter.” He got that same error message. He tried “arnold.” He tried “Arnold13.” Had someone hacked his Myspace? He knew his password was some variation on “Arnold.” That was the only password he’d ever used. Had Drama done this? Had Drama broken into his room, looked at his cache, and hacked him?

Turtle pulled out his cell phone. Drama’s phone rang and rang on the other end. The voicemail — typical. “Hey, did you break into my room, you sack of shit? Did you? Fuck you. I really need to check my Myspace. It’s important. Call me when you get this. Call me as soon as you get this. Okay. Call the home line. I’m going to text you too.” Turtle hung up and tapped out a text message: YO DID YOU RESET MY MYSPACE PASSWORD?

At this point, Turtle didn’t even want the Uncrustable. He balled it up with the paper towel and tossed it in the garbage. He looked in the mirror. He seemed bloated. Turtle looked at the trash, realizing that the sandwich might attract ants; he fished out the sandwich and went to throw it away in the kitchen. Vince was lingering in the hallway, staring into the linen closet.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey,” said Turtle. “Drama, that shit, took my Myspace profile or something. Where is he? Do you know where he is?”

“What’s that in your hand?” Vince’s hair smelled of a bale of hay. It was a strong scent, and distracting. Turtle decided not to mention this.

“This is a fucking sandwich that I was going to eat but which I can’t eat now because I’m so fucking mad,” he said, and, his face burning with rage. In the kitchen, he put the sandwich in the garbage. He opened the refrigerator and saw a takeout container of curry marked “MINE.” This was Drama’s curry. Turtle removed it from the refrigerator and set it on the counter. He got a fork out of the cutlery drawer and let it hover above the open cardboard container. He let himself stay like that for a moment, then replaced the fork and put the curry back in the refrigerator.

Amazing.

Went to the Cha “Dirty P” Cha last night with Molls, and ran into more than one or two friends.

Photo booth action started. Alan and SaraLizz joined in.

As you can see things got progressively more debaucherous, and in turn, more interesting.

NOTES: Molly and I have total body control. These photos have not been altered in Photoshop. Also, no boobs were harmed or actually touched by anyone other than their owners in the taking of these photos. I now have a prom date with Alan’s little sister. Whether or not these photos are considered GPOYW photos is up for debate based on timing, and one’s personal definition of GPOYW.
